There’s great news in the adventure bike world for 2024. We’ve taken one of our best adventure bikes—the CB500X—and given it a major update along with a new name: the NX500. It’s seven pounds lighter, and along with a new ECU, that means you get better acceleration feel. Lighter wheels and new suspension settings make it feel more responsive. A brand-new LED headlight improves visibility at night. Honda Selectable Torque Control is new and standard equipment. A new Thin-Film Transistor (TFT) instrument display is easier to read, and a new fairing is part of an aggressive new styling package.
Features may include:
Offering plenty of power and torque in the midrange, the NX500 features a 471cc, liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine. Light, narrow, and powerful, it just strikes the perfect balance of what a mid-sized motorcycle engine should be.
The NX500 features an inverted-fork design that makes the front end much more rigid, for more precise steering input and feedback. The fork itself is a Showa Separate Function Fork--Big Piston (SFF-BP) design—one of the best in its class.
The NX500 just looks right—tough, capable, no-nonsense. Plus, the adventure-bike posture and seating position let you move around freely.
The NX500’s adjustable windscreen offers superior wind protection.
