The new 2025 MT-07 is the highest specification yet, including new radially mounted front brake calipers, 41 mm inverted forks, lightweight SpinForged wheels and striking next-generation MT styling.
Features may include:
The 2025 MT-07 gets an all-new stripped-back look with a minimalist LED headlight unit creating the striking new face clearly inspired by the Dark Side of Japan's distinctively modern styling aesthetic. With engineering and styling in perfect harmony, nothing is added to the MT-07 unless it truly enhances the riding experience. The result is a motorcycle which connects to its rider in a way few others can match.
A new Yamaha Chip Controlled Throttle (YCC-T) contributes to an even more linear power delivery to create a greater connection between rider and machine while enabling a new generation of electronic aids including Yamaha Ride Control (YRC) with three available throttle maps and switchable Traction Control. YRC includes two quick-select preset modes (SPORT and STREET) along with a customizable YRC mode allowing the rider to match their preferred power delivery to their preferred level of Traction Control.
Contributing to the visceral connection between rider and machine, the new MT-07 now features a sound amplification system which harnesses the bike's induction roar, channeling it to the rider to enhance the feeling of acceleration provided by the MT's famous torque.
A new Assist & Slipper (A&S) clutch utilizes an assist cam and slipper cam to help inhibit excessive engine braking for a smooth, easy-to-handle feeling during downshifts while also reducing the amount of force required to pull the clutch lever for less hand fatigue. The shape of the clutch lever has also been optimized for enhanced feel.
A new inverted 41mm KYB® front fork offers high levels of control and a planted front-end feel when cornering and braking, all while providing the MT-07 with a more modern look. The linked-type monocross KYB® rear shock is optimized to match the rigidity of the new front fork, creating a more sporting ride.
